LeVar Burton Teases His Return as Geordi La Forge in STAR TREK: PICARD Season 2

It looks like was can expect to see LeVar Burton back in the role of Geordi La Forge in the second season of Star Trek: Picard! During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Burton addressed the possibility of returning to the role and he seemed to confirm that we will eventually see him in the series! Here’s what he said:

“How do I say this without getting in trouble… I think that is reasonable to assume that those people are still a part of Picard’s life and — sure, what the hell — yeah, absolutely! You’ll see us all, probably not all at the same time but, you know, never say never.”

When they do bring him back, I hope that it’s at least just as big of a role that Jonathan Frakes and Marina Sirtis had as William Riker and Deanna Troi had in Season 1. When sharing his thoughts on where he’d like the series to pick up with the character, he said:

“I have suggested to the producers that we find Geordi in a position where he is teaching and passing that knowledge and information on to another generation. We’ll see. Alex [Kurtzman] and the folks are in charge and they are doing an amazing job. When they call and whatever they want me to do, I’m pretty sure it is going to be spectacular.”

I was extremely pleased with how the first season of Picard turned out and I’m very excited to see how Picard’s journey continues in Season 2!
