LeVar Burton to Host ‘Trivial Pursuit’ Game Show in Development at eOne

If you were disappointed that LeVar Burton wasn’t chosen to host Jeopardy! then you might be interested to know that he will be hosting a new “Trivial Pursuit” game being produced by Entertainment One.

“’Trivial Pursuit’ is one of the best-known brands in the gaming universe,” Burton said. “I am thrilled to have partnered with Hasbro and eOne to bring this beloved game to market as a premium show for television.”

This should be an excellent decision by eOne considering how popular Burton was among his fans to host Jeopardy! I think it should also be good for Burton to have something new to host rather than trying to replace a legend.

I’ll be interested to see how they decide to format the new show, if it will be more stoic or wacky, hopefully a happy medium between the two that will let Burton’s winning personality shine through without the contestant's antics going too over the top. Will you be watching when it premieres?
