Liam Hemsworth Will Star in Unnamed Action-Thriller Series for Quibi

Quibi is a short form content company and an upcoming series has nabbed Liam Hemsworth as a star. Hemsworth will star in an untitled action-thriller series as Dodge Maynard. Here’s a bit more information about the series from Variety:

“[Hemsworth] will play the central character of Dodge Maynard who, desperate to take care of his pregnant wife before a terminal illness can take his life, accepts an offer to participate in a deadly game where he soon discovers that he’s not the hunter, but the prey. The series explores the limits of how far someone would go to fight for their life and their family.”

This role will be Hemsworth’s first big role on a U.S. show. This new show is being directed by Phil Abraham and written by Nick Santora. The show is currently expected to launch with Quibi in April 2020.
