Liam Neeson Finds Himself in a SPEED-Like Situation in Trailer for the Action Thriller RETRIBUTION

Roadside Attractions and Lionsgate have released the first trailer for Liam Neeson’s latest action thriller Retribution. Neeson just can’t stop making these kinds of movies, but the audiences sure do seem to enjoy them! Seriously, who would’ve thought this would be Neeson’s career after making Schindler’s List?

The movie is described as “an immersive ticking clock thriller that straps audiences in for a high-octane ride of redemption and revenge.” In the story, a Neeson, who plays a bank executive, receives a call while driving his children to school and learns that his car will explode if they stop and get out. Yeah, it’s pretty much like Speed.

Here’s the synopsis: “When a mysterious caller puts a bomb under his car seat, Matt Turner (Liam Neeson) begins a high-speed chase across the city to complete a specific series of tasks. With his kids trapped in the back seat and a bomb that will explode if they get out of the car, a normal commute becomes a twisted game of life or death as Matt follows the stranger’s increasingly dangerous instructions in a race against time to save his family.”

The movie was directed by Nimród Antal (Vacancy, Armored, Predators, Metallica Through the Never), and it also stars Noma Dumezweni, Lilly Aspell, Jack Champion (Avatar 2), Embeth Davidtz, and Matthew ,Modine.

It looks like a decent Liam Neeson action thriller, so if you enjoy watching these kinds of films that he makes, chances are you’ll enjoy this one. Lionsgate will release the film on August 25th, 2023. Check out the trailer!
