Liam Neeson Would Be Interested in Returning for a DARKMAN Sequel

Sam Raimi’s 1990 superhero action film Darkman is such a great movie, and it helped pave the way for the growth of the superhero film genre. The film also had a great cast that included Liam Neeson and Frances McDormand, and they were great in the film! I loved Neeson in the role of Darkman, and I always thought that it would be cool to one day see him reprise his role in a sequel.

After all the time that has passed since the first movie was released, I don’t think we’ll ever see a sequel. But, if someone actually does try to make one, Neeson would be interested in it.

During a recent interview with Comicbook, they asked him about about the possibility of another Darkman film and he responded with, "That's a good question. I would be very interested in reading the script. Very." 

Again, I don’t think that a Darkman sequel will ever happen, but I would be interesting to see if someone actually tries to attempt it. If Liam Neeson is actually up for it, it would be cool to see someone actually write a script and make an effort.

Now, there were already a couple of Darkman home video sequels made with Darkman II: The Return of Durant and Darkman III: Die Darkman Die. Neither of them involved Raimi or Neeson and they weren’t very good. So, it’d be fun to actually get a decent sequel after all these years and Neeson could totally pull it off!
