Liam Neeson, Zachary Levi, and Titus Welliver Head Into Enemy Territory in Intense First Trailer for THE FIX
The first trailer for The Fix has arrived, giving action thriller fans a look at a tense mission led by Liam Neeson, Zachary Levi, and Titus Welliver.
Originally filmed in 2024 under the title Hotel Tehran, the movie is finally making its way to theaters this September, and it looks like it's aiming for a grounded military thriller packed with high-stakes action and personal redemption.
The story follows a team of battle-scarred former CIA operators who are still carrying the weight of a disastrous mission in Afghanistan. Under the guidance of Larry, played by Neeson, and led into the field by Tucker, played by Levi, the group heads into Tehran, Iran, hoping to pull off a dangerous rescue that could finally give them the redemption they've been searching for.
Alongside Neeson, Levi, and Welliver, the cast also includes Numan Acar and Wes Chatham, rounding out a team that looks ready for an explosive ride through hostile territory.
The film comes from director Guy Moshe, whose previous work includes Bunraku and LX 2048. While The Fix delivers plenty of firefights and large-scale action sequences, Moshe says the heart of the movie lies somewhere much deeper.
He explained that the goal was "to put audiences inside the chaos and moral weight of war, not just the action of it." He also said the filmmakers wanted to keep the story in "deeply human territory while still delivering the visceral, large-scale filmmaking."
That approach seems to be front and center in the trailer, which mixes intense combat with a story driven by characters trying to find purpose after everything they've lost. Rather than simply throwing audiences from one action sequence to another, the film appears focused on the emotional scars these operatives carry with them into one final mission.
According to distributor Inaugural Entertainment and Briarcliff Entertainment, "the film seamlessly balances intense, edge-of-your-seat spectacle with real emotional stakes... Precisely the kind of high-caliber cinematic event that we are proud to champion."
The screenplay was written by Ron Hutchinson, based on a story by Mark Bacci, Baz, and Moshe. The Fix opens in U.S. theaters on September 11, 2026.
