A couple of months ago it was announced that The Mark Gordon Company and the C.S. Lewis Company will team up to develop and produce the fourth film in the Narnia series, The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Silver Chair.

Producers have hired Life of Pi writer David Magee to take on the next big screen adaptation. Magee received an Oscar nomination for his LIfe of Pi adaptation and for his 2004 Neverland screenplay. Here's what he had to say in a statement,

“I have always loved The Chronicles of Narnia and I endlessly imagined myself finding my own passage into Narnia someday. All these years later, I’m getting to fulfill that wish just a little bit by writing the film adaptation of The Silver Chair and could not be more excited about it.”

He's definitely a great writer, and he seems to have the talent to be able to pump out one of the best scripts in the series, so that's promising.

Disney produced and released the first two Narnia films The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. and Prince Caspian. Then Fox took over and released Dawn Treader.

If this movie is successful we'll probably get to see the final book in the series, The Last Battle, get made. The question is will they split it into two films! Probably not, but that seems to be the trend these days.
