Lightning Collection Figures and DINO FURY Cast Announcements at the POWER RANGERS Fan First Friday
On Friday, Power Rangers fans were given some treats on Hasbro Pulse’s Fan First Friday. The livestream was all about Power Rangers and we got to see some new figures as well as the rest of the cast for Power Rangers Dino Fury.
For the Lightning Collection, we got to see the new VS and Monster lines. If you’re wanting a VS 2-pack, we’ve got Blue S.P.D. B-Squad vs Blue A-Squad and Astronema vs In Space Red. I do feel like the face work is getting better in these figures. Each of these 2-packs is available for $49.99. If you’re wanting to add more monsters to your collection, we’ve got 2 classic Mighty Morphin Power Rangers monsters coming. King Sphinx will blow you away while Pumpkin Rapper spits out some sick lines. Each of these figures will run $29.99 and will stand at 8” tall. I will say I’m a little disappointed that the cavities for Pumpkin Rapper’s eyes and mouth aren’t really darker than the rest of his head. I feel like that’s a bit of an oversight. Thankfully, it should be easy to fix by fans if needed. Also, Pumpkin Rapper does come with 3 special pumpkins that can be fit on any other Lightning Collection figure as the head.
Other toys shown off are for the upcoming season, Dino Fury. We’ve got a Basic Figure line that will measure in at 6”. We were shown figures for the Red, Blue, and Pink figures as well as one villain, Boom Tower. Each figure (yes, including villains) will come with a Power Key which has a Zord head on one side compatible with the combining Zords figures. The other side is the Power Key side to be used with the new morpher toys. The morphers will make sounds as you move your arm around, but then when you put in a Power Key, the sounds change depending on which key is used. When you morph, the morpher will play music (dependent on which key is used), and take playtime to the next level. If you’re looking for figures with more action, check out the Battle Attackers figures. These come in 2-packs, 1 Ranger and 1 monster, and feature monsters that are inspired by vinyl figures of the past and the Rangers have a button you press to make them kick. The final reveal was the Dino Fury Megazord which will be released next year. The Megazord will feature a Zord Link feature to combine all 9 Zords and they’ve done a lot of work to make things really cool.
The final reveal of the stream were the Green and Black Rangers for Dino Fury. Chance Perez will play Dino Fury Black, Javier Garcia. Meanwhile, Tessa Rao will play Dino Fury Green, Izzy.
