Lin-Manuel Miranda Shares First Look Teaser and Poster For The Musical Adaptation of IN THE HEIGHTS
Hamilton star and scribe, Lin-Manuel Miranda, has tweeted out our first teaser for his upcoming stage to screen adaptation of his musical, In The Heights, which he wrote the music and lyrics to from the book by Quiara Alegria Hudes. The film is being directed by Jon M. Chu (Crazy Rich Asians), from a screenplay adapted by Marc Klein (Serendipity, Mirror Mirror).
The cast includes Miranda, Corey Hawkins, Marc Anthony, Melissa Barrera, Leslie Grace, Dascha Polanco, Stephanie Beatriz and Jimmy Smits. This is our first look at the film, but we won’t have to wait long for a longer look, as the full trailer is hitting the web tomorrow.
I’m pretty excited for this, as I’m a big fan of Miranda and his musical talents. Check out the clip and poster below, and check back tomorrow for the full trailer. In The Heights hits theatres on June 26, 2020.
