Linda Cardellini Joins James Wan's New Horror Film THE CHILDREN

Linda Cardellini (Bloodline, Freaks and Geeks) is set to star in New Line’s upcoming horror film The Children, which is being produced by horror movie master James Wan.

I've been following Cardellini's work since Freaks and Geeks, and it's great to see her land a new movie role like this.

According to Variety, the story follows "a social worker who, while investigating the mysterious disappearance of two children, discovers her own family might also be in jeopardy."

New Line Cinema is on a roll with releasing solid horror movies. Some of their most recent films include IT and Annabelle: Creation. These guys have a good eye for horror projects, so there's a good chance The Children will end up being good.

Michael Chaves is set to direct from a script written by Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis.

Cardellini will next be seen in Daddy’s Home 2 opposite Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg.
