Linda Hamilton Talks About Her Role in STRANGER THINGS Season 5, Calls It Different From Anything Else in Her Career
Actress Linda Hamilton has starred in some iconic roles over the years, with her most famous being that of Sarah Connor in the Terminator franchise, as well as some fun and memorable TV roles, like the ‘80s series Beauty and the Beast, the fan-favorite series Chuck, and most recently the fun sci-fi comedy series Resident Alien. Hamilton is just generally a badass who can take on any action or sci-fi role, and make fans feel like she could conquer the world. Now she is heading into another iconic series that has a huge fandom, with the Netflix show Stranger Things.
Hamilton is playing an unknown role in the fifth season of the show, but she will appear in all eight episodes of the final season, so we can count on her being a pivotal part of the story. Hamilton is a huge fan of the show, so it’s cool that she will be there to help usher it out.
When asked by io9 about her experience joining a show she’s such a fan of, Hamilton replied that it’s "altogether different from anything else I’ve done."
"I really felt like, [is] there a place for me in that show? Having watched it for four seasons and loving it so much – I thought, I don’t belong there. That’s their world.”
Hamilton continued:
"It’s really interesting [to] try to insert yourself in a story that you know very well. It was a little odd for me; I felt a little bit of imposter syndrome there. But we’re making it work. I’m delighted and having a wonderful time on that show. They’ve created a good place for me. And I’m going to run with it."
I know she will deliver a fantastic performance, as always, and I know that the Duffer Brothers will finish out the story in the best way possible for fans. Stranger Things is set to return for its final season in 2025.
