Lindsay Lohan Strikes Two-Picture Deal With Netflix
Lindsay Lohan, best known for her roles in The Parent Trap, Freaky Friday and Mean Girls, is making a comeback. The actress has struck a two-picture deal with the streaming giant Netflix. The news comes after last year’s announcement that Lohan would star in the Netflix original film Falling for Christmas, a holiday rom-com that is slated to debut later this year.
In it, she plays a newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress who gets into a skiing accident, suffers from total amnesia and finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner (Chord Overstreet) and his precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas.
Netflix’s Director of Independent Film, Christina Rogers, said of the deal, “We’re so happy with our collaboration with Lindsay to date, and we’re thrilled to continue our partnership with her. We look forward to bringing more of her films to our members around the world.”
I’m glad to see Lohan returning to films. She was a good actress as a child and teen, and I hope to see more fun films in her future.
