Lindsey Stirling Channels Daenerys Targaryen in Music Video for "Artemis"

Lindsey Stirling has released the music video for the title track on her upcoming album Artemis. Starting the video, I immediately got a Daenerys vibe from her costume. Also, there is one line that reminds me a lot of “The Force Theme” from Star Wars which is possibly my favorite theme from the movies. Now, I am not saying I think Stirling is stealing, but it’s a beautiful line that I noticed. The video features a lot of Stirling’s signature dancing and playing in different costumes and even some vocals from her. At about the 1:15 mark, we even see a new violin that is designed to look like a crossbow and I am worried to share this video with some of my D&D players because I know they’ll want to have that in-game.

“Artemis” unleashes the story of the Goddess of the Moon, an unlikely heroine who represents the fight in all of us to reclaim light back into our lives. As a key album cut, “Artemis” sets the stage for an album-wide concept of persevering through our own shadows of grief, and finding the courage to bring back our full light.

Stirling will be going on an international tour later this month and you can find all the details on her website. Below, you’ll find the full track list from Artemis which is due out on September 6.
