Lionsgate Changes Release Dates for TRAFFIK and OVERBOARD
Another studio has changed the release dates for some of their upcoming films. Lionsgate has changed the dates for the upcoming remake of Overboard as well as the thriller Traffik. If you are wanting to check out Anna Farris and Eugenio Derbez in Overboard, you’ll have to wait almost an extra month. The film has been pushed back from April 13 to May 4 which means it will now compete against The Guardians. Here’s a synopsis if you’re not sure what the film is about:
The remade Overboard is directed by Rob Greenberg with Bob Fisher, Greenberg, and Leslie Dixon on board as writers. It is being produced by Derbez, Benjamin Odell, and Fisher with Brendan Ferguson executive producing the film. In addition to Farris and Derbez, the cast includes Eva Longoria and John Hannah.
Traffik will star Paula Patton, Omar Epps, Roselyn Sanchez, and Laz Alonso. If you’ve been excited about this film, you’ll be happy to know that it has been moved up to April 20 from April 27 (the release date of Infinity War). Its new competition includes Rampage, Super Troopers 2, The House of Tomorrow, and Tully. Deon Taylor wrote and directed the film and he produced it along with Patton and Roxanne Avent.
