Listen to the Full Song SAVE THE CITY From HAWKEYE's ROGERS: THE MUSICAL

Disney+ and Marvel have released the full song titled “Save the City” from Hawkeye’s episode one, which featured a Broadway musical titled "Rogers: The Musical." While we don’t get to see the full musical number onstage, we get to hear the full song. It’s about what you’d expect from a Broadway musical ballad.

"Save the City" was written and composed by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman who brought us "Hairspray," "Smash," and "Mary Poppins Returns."

"Rogers: The Musical" came about when Kevin Feige wanted to meet Shaiman and Wittman at an Academy Awards dinner. Marvel.com reported:

"Turns out Kevin is a film score nerd. He started talking about [the scores I've written] one by one and I was like, I cannot believe this is happening. We started trading emails about scores and this and that, and when I would see [Marvel movies] I would send him an email. I guess when this idea came up for Hawkeye, for there to be a musical on Broadway, he luckily thought of us, and [Scott and I] couldn't be more ecstatic about it."

This is fun and ridiculous, and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if we saw this develop into a real Broadway musical in the next year or two. Check out the song below, and watch Hawkeye weekly on Disney+
