Live Action Trailer For The Sci-Fi Game THE CALLISTO PROTOCOL Starring Josh Duhamal
Josh Duhamel stars in a live-action trailer for an upcoming PlayStation sci-fi action video game titled The Callisto Protocol. In anticipation of the game’s release next week, Striking Distance Studios has released a couple of live-action TV spots for The Callisto Protocol.
While I know this is for a video game, it looks like it would make for a badass sci-fi horror action film! Duhamel takes on the role of Jacob Lee, who crash-lands on a planet named Callisto, the trailers feature the character making his way through the death and destruction in Black Iron Prison.
The story is set in 2320 at a prison colony called Black Iron, “operated by the United Jupiter Company, and located on Jupiter's moon Callisto. The player takes the role of a prisoner Jacob Lee (Josh Duhamel) held at Black Iron, finding themselves in the midst of an alien invasion that appears to have been engineered by the prison's warden.”
The longer trailer featured red-band content including lots of disturbing imagery filled with blood and gore. In regards to that, the game’s director, Glen Schofield, shared on Twitter that the developers were not “holding anything back from the main game for the season pass”. He added that the work for the extra content, which includes the death animations hasn’t even started yet. “Fans have asked for EVEN MORE deaths, so we’re making it a priority next year.”
The Callisto Protocol arrives December 2nd for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
