Lizard Gets Punched by an Edited Out Force in the New SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Trailer
A lot of Marvel fans seemed disappointed that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield didn’t appear in the latest trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home. Seriously, though, did anyone really think that Marvel and Sony would put that in the trailer if they are in the movie? There’s no way in hell!
Marvel has a history of being tricky with their trailers, though, by editing stuff out of certain scenes. There are clues in the trailer that the other two Spider-Man characters could show up. The scene in particular is included a international trailer, and it features Tom Holland’s Spider-Man charging toward the villains in the film. If you look closely at Lizard, he clearly gets punched in the face be some mysterious unknown force that was edited out of the scene. My guess is, it’s one of the other two Spidey characters.
You can check out that clip below. The scene also has a familiar setting as a photo that leaked of Maguire, Garfield, and Holland standing together.
The sequel sees Tom Holland’s Peter Parker teams up with Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange as they find themselves in a wild multiverse adventure after Peter asks Strange to make people forget that he’s Spider-Man. Things go terribly wrong while Strange is trying to conduct the spell because Peter decided to mess it up by his indecisiveness.
Here’s the synopsis:
For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero's identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.
Some of the villains in the film include Alfred Molina's Doc Ock, Jamie Foxx's Electro, Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin, and Sandman. The cast also includes Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Tony Revolori as Flash, and Hannibal Buress as Coach Wilson.
Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theaters on December 17, 2021.
