LOGAN Star Dafne Keen Talks About Reprising X-23 Role For DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE
The final trailer for Marvel’s Deadpool & Wolverine confirmed that Dafne Keen will return to the role of X-23 and she shares an emotional scene with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.
Keen made her debut as X-23 in Logan when she was only 11 years old and she was badass! The actress is now 19 years old and during an interview with Entertainment Weekly, she talked about returning to the role after all these years.
Keen said: "I was a bit freaked out. I was like, 'I will have forgotten how to play her. She's not in me anymore.'" So, she rewatched Logan, to prepare.
When talking about shooting her scenes in Deadpool & Wolverine, she said: "We went straight into this pretty intense scene. I know I was freaking out. As soon as they said, 'Rolling!' I really felt like we were back doing Logan. It was like eight years hadn't passed."
I’ve been hoping to see Keen return to the role of X-23 one day, and I still think she should’ve gotten her own solo film! I have no idea if this cameo will lead to that, but it’s cool to see her character reunite with Logan.
Deadpool & Wolverine will hit theaters on July 26th!
