Logo Revealed For Steven Spielberg's READY PLAYER ONE
I've been waiting for something... anything to be revealed from Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One! We've hardly seen anything from the film or heard anything about it, but today we can share the official logo with you. Yeah, I know it's not much, but it's still exciting! It's probably a lot more exciting if you've read the book. If you haven't read the book, you're missing out on something really special. You should definitely read the book before the movie comes out!
Ready Player One is one of my most anticipated films of 2018. I'm hoping that we get to see some of the first images from the film sometime within the next couple of weeks before Comic-Con, where I'm pretty confident that Steven Spielberg will reveal the first trailer or at least a couple of clips.
I just want to see what Spielberg's vision of the OASIS looks like! I want to see what that virtual world is going to look like on the big screen so bad! I'm so curious to see how Spielberg is going to handle the story and the characters in it. When previously talking about the film, the director said:
“I think we were pretty awesome in the 1980s. I love the '80s, and I think one of the reasons I decided to make the movie was that it brought me back to the 1980s and let me do anything I want, except for my own movies. I've cut most of my movies out of Ernie's book, except for the Delorean and a couple of other things that I had something to do with. I've cut a lot of my own references out. I was very happy to see that there was enough without me! The '80s was a great time to grow up.”
I wish he wouldn't have cut all of his references, but I understand why he did. For those of you who don't know, the story is set in the year 2044 and most of it is set in a virtual world called OASIS. It follows a teenager named Wade Watts a.k.a. Parzival (Tye Sheridan), who finds himself competing in an Easter egg hunt against ruthless foes known as The Sixers after the reclusive and enigmatic founder (Mark Rylance) of the game dies and offers his fortune as the grand prize.
The movie has a wonderful cast that also includes Olivia Cooke, Simon Pegg, T.J. Miller, Ben Mendelsohn, Win Morisaki, Philip Zhao, and Hannah John-Kamen. The movie is set to be released on March 30, 2018.
