LOKI Director Kate Herron Reveals a Few Fun Easter Eggs From Episode One
Loki has premiered its two first episodes on Disney+, and fans are getting pumped for the rest of the series. The show is a ton of fun so far, and obviously it’s full of Easter eggs like any respectable Marvel project these days, but the series director, Kate Herron, recently tweeted a few of her favorites that she wanted to share with the fans.
Check out the thread of Tweets 1-6 below, and come back for Herron’s #factsyoudidntaskfororneed next week. Also, watch new episodes of Loki on Disney+ Wednesdays.
1/1 A few fun references/facts from #loki Episode One, mainly reminded to me by friends asking. Keeping these pretty light as packing boxes/have a VFX meeting shortish but didn’t want to forget these

1/2 IRON MAN - image stolen from @AliPlumb (cheers!), this was a homage to #ironman, felt like a fun way to reference the film that started it all and wanted it to represent Loki’s new journey ahead pic.twitter.com/2AQjYyqJqs

1/3 WALLACE AND GROMIT - I’ve said a lot of our refs behind the cubes Loki falls through (which was the genius invention and idea of our production designer #kasrafarahani) when he goes into the #tva but I forgot this key ref https://t.co/3M7tbNVq73

1/4 LAST OF US - Filmmaker @Palmer291 asked me this, I’m a massive fan of the @naughty_dog #lastofus games and @CriticalRole so yes, I couldn’t resist getting in that great moment with @TheVulcanSalute from #AvengersAssemble in our montage pic.twitter.com/ErNzreqw94

1/5 DIALOGUE - Last one is one of favorite lines by @michaelwaldron, I love it when Loki calls himself a villain, and Mobius says “That’s not I see it”, really beautiful moment of empathy and a insight into what kind of character Mobius is.

1/6 MOBIUS - Okay one more! Building on the last one and Mobius’ empathy, the moment when he draws a stick figure for the kid in the cathedral was a pitch of Owen’s, and also revealed to be another fun bit of tech world-building too for the tem pad #loki #mobius
