LORE Has Been Renewed For Season 2 at Amazon!
For those of you who are fans of the Lore podcast and the Lore TV series, you'll be happy to hear that Amazon has renewed the series for Season 2. I enjoyed the first season of the series and I'm excited to see what stories will be explored in Season 2:
The series explores the real-life frightening and disturbing tales that give rise to modern-day myths and legends. Season two will feature new tales from the podcast, as well as original stories not yet available in podcast form. In addition, it will star new castmembers. The hybrid series will continue to feature narration, archive footage and animation to complement the filmed segments.
Heather Schuster, head of unscripted at Amazon Originals, had this to say in a statement:
"Customers loved the first season of Lore for its unique blend of narrative and documentary storytelling, and we’re excited to give them another season of this suspenseful hybrid series. Sean brings great experience in the supernatural genre, and we’re excited for him to help us tell even more frightening and visually captivating stories."
Producers Ben Silverman and Howard T. Owens added:
"With Sean Crouch at the helm, Lore is set to be scarier than ever. In season two, we will explore global, real-life horror stories that make this series unlike anything else on television. We are thrilled to be back on Prime Video."
The Walking Dead executive producer Gale Anne Hurd also works on the series, and she went on to say:
"As a fan of documentaries and horror, Lore resonates with me on so many levels. Season two is shaping up to be scarier and even more compelling and unnerving than our first one! From monsters to the macabre, season two is not only the stuff of nightmares…it’s real."
The streamer has renewed the unscripted anthology series based on the popular true horror podcast of the same name for a second season. Lore will begin production on its second season in April with Sean Crouch (The Exorcist) as its new showrunner.
This Lore franchise was created by Aaron Mahnke and it all started with a fascinating and fun podcast. It's pretty cool to see how far it's come in such a short period of time.
Are you excited to hear that Lore is getting a second season?
