Lost DUNGEONS & DRAGONS Action Figures From The 1980s Will Finally Be Released By NECA
A “lost wave” of Dungeons & Dragons action figures from the 1980s will finally be released later this year thanks to NECA. The collectible toy company announced that they will be producing several action figures based on prototypes created for LJN's classic line of Dungeons & Dragons action figures.
These figures will include the characters Skylla, Kelek, Pulvereye, and Valkeer. Three of the four figures being released will come with their original "Battle-Matic" Action ability and match the original schematics and sizes of the original D&D action figures.
These will be a Comic-Con exclusive, so if you want to get your hands on them, you’ve got to go to Comic-Con!
Over the course of two years, starting in 1982, LJN released 19 different figures. While many of those didn't initially appear in the actual Dungeons & Dragons game, they were eventually added through a special supplement made in 1983. Also, several of the characters from the toy line also appeared in the D&D cartoon, which was released in the early 80s as well.
It’s pretty cool that after all these years this wave of lost D&D action figures will actually get released!
