Louis C.K. Does First Standup Performance Since Admitting Sexual Misconduct

Back in November Louis C.K. admitted that the sexual allegations lodged against him were true, and faded from the spotlight as many of his shows and future projects were scrapped. Now, for the first time since admitting what happened, C.K. appeared at the Comedy Cellar on Sunday night and did a stand-up performance.

The set was unannounced and only fifteen minutes long, but Variety reports C.K.'s jokes were well-received by the crowd and the comic even received a standing ovation prior to his telling of jokes.

Club owner Noam Dworman reported C.K. looked relaxed and that the set was the typical routine fans of his work have come to expect. As for why he decided to do the performance is unknown, although Dworman added the comedian has done it frequently over the past 10 years to try out new material before taking it to a wider audience. The club owner said one person did call to complain the following day stating they wished they had known he would be performing in advance so they could've had the decision to attend or not.
