Lucasfilm Didn’t Like Amy Schumer’s Racy STAR WARS Photos, But Mark Hamill Did!
Last week GQ released photos from a shoot they did with Trainwreck star Amy Schumer. The photos featured the comedian getting down and dirty as she partied hard with certain characters from the Star Wars universe. Lucasfilm and Disney were not happy with the photos, and it’s not surprising to learn that they do not condone the inappropriateness of the shoot. They released the following statement:
“It’s not surprising that GQ would want to capitalize on the cultural cachet of Star Wars, but Lucasfilm and Disney did not authorize, participate in or condone the inappropriate use of our characters in this manner.”
Some people thought the photos were funny, while others weren’t so amused. Star Wars star Mark Hamill seemed to think they were fun, though, and made a little joke. He tweeted his reaction:

— Mark Hamill (@HamillHimself) July 18, 2015Yeah, after a stunt like that, I doubt Disney will want to work with her on anything in the future. Regardless of the racy photos, Schumer is a funny comedian, and she was awesome in Trainwreck. I think she has a bright future ahead of her.
