Lucasfilm Is Developing a New "Very Special" STAR WARS Animated Series

It looks like a new Star Wars animated series is in development! The news comes from Star Wars composer Kevin Kiner, who worked on shows such as Star Wars: Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, and Star Wars: The Bad Batch. He’s also obviously working on this new project, which he says is very special.

While a guest on The Convor Call, he revealed the following info, "You know, we are working on a new project. It's an animated project. It's a Star Wars project. And that's all we can say. It's really, really frikkin' great… To the point where Lucasfilm and Disney are giving us full orchestra for every episode… It's a very special project, some great, great people are involved, and we're really privileged to be part of that one. And I probably said too much already."

Well, that certainly sounds exciting! There are no other details to share on what the series will be, but there are a lot of rumors and speculation. There are various live-action projects in development at the moment, but one rumor I’ve heard is that there was a Darth Maul animated series in development that would serve as a prequel to Solo and how he came to lead the Crimson Dawn criminal organization. But, there’s no confirmation of that. It’s just a rumor I’ve heard.

This new animated series could end up being anything, but it’s pretty cool that it’s such a big project that they are bringing in a full orchestra to score every episode.

Hopefully, we get more information on this! I’m excited to see what it will end up being!
