LUCIFER Season 5 Will Include a Musical Episode
Have fans of Netflix’s Lucifer been asking for a musical episode? It turns out that Lucifer showrunners Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson have been wanting to do it for a long time, and it’s coming in Season 5. The episode is titled “Bloody Celestial Karaoke Jam,” and during an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Modrovich said:
“We wanted to have a real grounded story reason why they're singing and dancing, and not just, 'Oh, this is going to be the one where everybody sings and dances. It's been a little game of Tetris [planning the episode] but it's super fun. It's going to be amazing. It's going to be just such a bucket list thing for me.”
Unfortunately, we don’t have any details regarding the story to share with you yet. Season 5 is going to be the final episode of the season, so I guess if they are going to squeeze in a musical episode, now is the time to do it! When previously teasing the episode actor Tom Ellis said:
"I can't tease too much! I would say on this episode, we take a trip down memory lane with Lucifer. We tell a story that answers the question a lot of fans have been asking actually. It's always fun to film the music stuff, you know? It's been a really nice element of the show that came in season one and [we've] sort of run with it since. But the nice thing is it's not just Lucifer who sings these days."
Lucifer returns for its fifth season later this year on Netflix. What do you think about Lucifer getting a full musical episode?
