Trailer For Lucy Liu's New VR Gaming Experience THE PIRATE QUEEN: A FORGOTTEN LEGEND
Lucy Liu is developing a new VR gaming experience for a project titled The Pirate Queen: A Forgotten Legend, and she recently offered some interesting information on it. We also have a teaser trailer to share with you.
The Pirate Queen: A Forgotten Legend is based on the true story of Zheng Yi Sao, “who rose from poverty as a courtesan to become the most powerful pirate in history. At the peak of her power, Zheng Yi Sao was thought to command hundreds of ships and anywhere between 40,000 and 70,000 men in the early years of the 19th century.”
In the game, players need to “use wit and strategy to navigate obstacles and unravel her fascinating story. Use an array of VR gameplay mechanics including exploration, throwing, climbing, rowing, fishing, and solving environmental puzzles.”
Liu is not only a co-executive producer on the game, but she also will be providing her voice for the game. During the Future Games Show presentation at Gamescom, Lui said:
“The fact that it's a true story, and it's been created in this virtual world [...] is quite significant. It's bringing the old and the new together. And also presenting something that's not just a game, but something that's real, and exciting, and historic."
The Pirate Queen: A Forgotten Legend is coming to Meta Quest 2 and Steam in Early 2024. Check out the trailer below!
