Luke Evans Joins Tom Hanks in the Cast of Disney's Live-Action PINOCCHIO
Luke Evans is back at Disney, having joined the cast of the upcoming live-action Pinocchio movie, playing the part of The Coachman. Evans played Gaston in the 2017 live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast, and he did a fantastic job, so I am happy to see him in another role for Disney.
Hollywood veteran Robert Zemeckis (Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Back to the Future trilogy, Forrest Gump, Cast Away) is directing the film from a script he co-wrote, based on the story by Carlo Collodi and the classic 1940 Disney animation.
Evans joins Tom Hanks in the film, who is cast as Geppetto. Pinocchio is currently in pre-production and will eventually end up at Disney+ instead of the expected theatrical run. Keep an eye out for more casting news as it becomes available.
