Lulu Wilson Goes Global in THE LAST TEMPTATION OF BECKY With Neil Patrick Harris and Kate Siegel Joining the Chaos

Becky Hooper isn’t done making life miserable for extremists and criminals. The Last Temptation of Becky is officially in the can after wrapping production in Northern Ireland, and it sounds like this third chapter is taking the franchise to a whole new battlefield.

Lulu Wilson is back in action, and this time she’s joined by Neil Patrick Harris and Kate Siegel, alongside a fresh lineup of new faces.

Quiver Distribution will release The Last Temptation of Becky in North American theaters this summer, and if the details are any indication, this one is going bigger, nastier, and way more international.

The original Becky, directed by Jonathan Milott and Cary Murnion, introduced Wilson as a teenage girl caught in a nightmare weekend at a lake house. A gang of escaped neo-Nazis led by Kevin James picked the wrong kid to terrorize.

Becky fought back in ways that quickly turned the film into a genre favorite. Despite landing in theaters during the height of the COVID pandemic in June 2020, Becky clawed its way to the top of the box office with the biggest opening weekend in months.

Then came The Wrath of Becky in 2023, directed by Matt Angel and Suzanne Coote, which escalated the mayhem. This time Becky squared off against a far-right extremist group led by Seann William Scott.

That sequel cemented the franchise’s cult status and proved audiences were ready to see Wilson’s character evolve from survivor to something much more lethal.

Now in The Last Temptation of Becky, Angel returns as writer, working from a story he conceived with Coote. Becky has leveled up in a major way. She’s now a CIA field agent sent undercover to Poland to infiltrate a seemingly harmless family of innkeepers operating a tourist venture at The Wolf’s Lair, Hitler’s World War II bunker.

Things take a hard turn when she discovers that the father, Wilhelm Reuss, played by Neil Patrick Harris, is working toward the rise of a Fourth Reich.

If that wasn’t enough to light the fuse, Becky decides to handle things herself.

Siegel reprises her role as Agent Kate Montana from The Wrath of Becky, adding some connective tissue between the sequels. The new cast also includes Brandon Flynn and James Urbaniak.

Producer Russ Posternak didn’t undersell what fans can expect, calling the film “the biggest, bloodiest and most unhinged installment of the franchise yet.”

Quiver’s Berry Meyerowitz and Jeff Sackman are clearly pumped about bringing Becky back for round three. They said, “After the incredible audience response to the first two Becky films, we are thrilled to have Lulu Wilson step back into this character that was made just for her.

“Having Neil Patrick Harris facing off against Lulu Wilson will take this series to a whole new level, and we can’t wait for audiences to see what Becky has in store for anyone who dares get in her way.”

From lake house carnage to international espionage, Becky’s journey has been anything but small scale. Watching Wilson grow with this role has been one of the coolest parts of the franchise. Now she’s taking the fight overseas, and it sounds like she isn’t playing by anyone’s rules.

Get ready. Becky’s coming back this summer, and it looks like she’s bringing hell with her.
