M. Night Shyamalan Announces His UNBREAKABLE and SPLIT Sequel will be Called GLASS and He Offers Details

M. Night Shyamalan has announced that his sequel to Unbreakable and Split will be called Glass and that it will be released on January 18, 2019. The filmmaker revealed the news on Twitter saying:

"Finished the new script. It’s taken 17 years but I can finally answer the #1 question I get, ‘Are you making a f#&@ing sequel to Unbreakable or what?’ My new film is the sequel to Unbreakable AND Split. It was always my dream to have both films collide in this third film."

Shyamalan went on to confirm that Bruce Willis will return as David Dunn, Samuel L. Jackson will be back as Elijah Price, James McAvoy as Kevin Wendell Crumb, Anya Taylor-Joy will return as Casey Cooke.

The story follows Dunn "pursuing Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men."

I've been waiting for an Unbreakable sequel for years and it was an amazing surprise to see that Split was in a way a continuation of that story. Now we are actually going to get this third film in the franchise, and I'm super excited! I can't wait to see what Shyamalan has in store for us!
