M. Night Shyamalan's GLASS Will Include Unused Footage From UNBREAKABLE
M. Night Shyamalan recently sat down with Fandango to talk about his highly anticipated film Glass, and in the interview he revealed some fun new details.
According to Shyamalan, the movie will incorporate footage from Unbreakable. He wouldn’t get into the nitty gritty details of it because he didn’t want to spoil anything, but he did say:
"I don't want to give too much away, but you do see moments from the original Unbreakable. Scenes you didn't get to see. You'll see the same actor change, you know, 18 years on camera in front of you which is really powerful."
Knowing that bit of info has sparked my curiosity and gotten me a little more excited to see Glass! I’m just really interested to see how exactly the older footage will be incorporated into the story for Glass. Sure, it’s easy to speculate, but with Shyamalan at the helm and all the twists and turns in the stories he tells, who knows what we’ll end up getting!

When the director previously talked about the film, he explained that Glass is not going to be the movie you think that it is.
“I don't want to spoil anything for you, but there's a lot of references to the movie that it knows you think it's going to be. It's very aware of that, and it will tell you that, and then it becomes this other thing.”
I can’t wait to see this movie! As you know, Glass is the sequel to both Unbreakable and Split, and in it, Mr. Glass teams up with The Beast (James McAvoy) in the story to take on David Dunn (Bruce Willis) so that Mr. Glass (Samuel L. Jackson) can prove to the world once and for all that there are people in the world that exist with extraordinary powers. Mr. Glass also says in this new trailer that “we are fighting for the broken.”
Following the conclusion of Split, Glass finds Dunn pursuing Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.
Glass also stars Anya Taylor Joy as Casey, and it will be released on January 18th, 2019.
