Macaulay Culkin Legally Changing Name for the New Year

Macaulay Culkin has been an American household name since the early 90s when he starred in the hit movies Home Alone, Uncle Buck, My Girl, and many more. He has laid lower in recent years, but is still a relevant part of pop culture as his movies have lived on and continued to play on our TVs. Now his name is becoming somewhat of a fun inside joke to those following him on social media in a effort to market his new lifestyle and humor website bunny ears.

He said in a November post to his site that his middle name was something dumb that he doesn’t even remember, and he needed help finding a new middle name. He held a vote, and will actually be changing his name legally in the year 2019. Here’s his Christmas day twitter post revealing the winning middle name choice:

Merry Christmas to me, from all of you! My new middle name has been chosen. You voted and the winner is clear. In 2019 my new legal name will be: Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin. It has a nice ring to it (if you like my name). #MerryChristmas

That’s pretty awesome! I love it when people have a good sense of humor and can laugh at their own expense. I think Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin is hilarious and a great choice, although some of the runners up would have been just as funny. Some of the top contenders were Shark Week, TheMcRibIsBack, Kieran (a suggestion by his brother Kieran), and Publicity Stunt. But Macaulay Culkin won by a landslide.

Would you let strangers vote on your new legal middle name? What would you have voted for?
