Superhero films are becoming so dominant that even some indie films are incorporating their tropes in order to find an audience. Such seems to be the cast with One & Two, a new film starring Mad Men's Kiernan Shipka. She played Sally Draper on the acclaimed AMC series, and now she's playing one half of a brother-sister duo who have the ability to teleport. Their father keeps a watchful eye on them and raises them out in the middle of nowhere in fear of them being discovered, which results in some rebellion that, due to their powers, goes beyond the typical teenage behavior.
This looks like an interesting spin on the superhero movie, and it'll be interesting to see what kinds of roles Shipka takes in her post-Mad Men career. She seems to be off to a promising start. One & Two hits theaters on August 14th.
