Magic And War Collide In New Fantasy Comic Series THE LEAST WE CAN DO

Iolanda Zanfardino and Elisa Romboli team up again with an all new fantasy series The Least We Can Do. Launching with Image Comics/Shadowline in September, this new series tells the story of a young woman fighting for her ideas of revolution and to build a new society from the remains of a world nearly destroyed by a mysterious magic power. But when her task proves too much for her to do alone, she must prove her worth to the Eclipse Rebels to join the against the dreadful Eden Army. At its heart, it’s a story of what is right and what love means in a military occupied and socially oppressed United Kingdom. There is something very Star Wars sounding about it, but set in a fantasy dystopian world rather than a galaxy far away. It sounds really cool though, I’m a sucker for a good fantasy story and this one sounds really interesting. Here’s what Zanfardino says about it:

Like for our previous books, we put our heart and soul into The Least We Can Do… …This time, we also put some fighting, magic, thirst for justice, blood, revenge, and many buff women into it! This post-apocalyptic dystopian world sprung up inside me, demanding to be narrated. All the characters came alive in my head and, what was particularly exciting with this story, was that the complexity of the plot all came together very naturally for me. Did I love writing this story? Hell yes! I really hope you'll love reading it!

The Least We Can Do #1 will be available at comic shops on September 14 and is available for pre-order now with variant covers A, B, C, and D
