MAGIC MIKE 3 Will Be A Broadway Musical

Magic Mike 3 will be happening, according to THR. But star Channing Tatum says not to expect to see the story play out on a big screen, but on Broadway. He explains below:

“The third installment will be the show, and I think it has to evolve past these guys. The first one was about Mike, the second one was about the guys and I think the third one is really about man and woman having a conversation about sex and themselves and who we all are. That’s the next step I would like to take with the story.”

Magic Mike 3 will take two forms on the stage. One will be a traditional Broadway musical, and the other a Las Vegas show. Not much is known about either project except Tatum promises he's eyeing a "very well known director" for the project.

I saw Magic Mike, and I suffered through Magic Mike XXL, and now I think I'm done. The first one at least had an interesting story and stuff and then I watch the second and it's excessive floppy weiners. I daresay the Broadway show will be much the same. I'm sure there will be an audience, though!
