The Dr. Ian Malcolm drop is a nod to the charismatic chaos theorist, featuring four previously released Magic: The Gathering cards that have undergone a Jurassic World transformation. The cards include Laboratory Maniac as "Chaotic Chaotician," Tasha's Hideous Laughter as "Malcolm's Mercurial Mirth," Tasigur, the Golden Fang as "Ian, Convalescent Charmer," and Atla Palani, Nest Tender as "Dr. Ian Malcolm." Each card showcases artwork and flavor text that vividly captures the essence of Ian Malcolm's character.
Additionally, the set includes a special Egg token, depicting Ian Malcolm observing a dinosaur egg hatch, adding a little thematic touch to the collection. Fans eager to delve into the chaos can find more information on the official website.
There’s also a second Jurassic World drop in the Secretversary Superdrop—the Life Breaks Free collection. This set reimagines iconic Magic: The Gathering creatures as some of the dinosaurs from Jurassic World. Etali, Primal Storm becomes the mighty "Tyrannosaurus Rex," Rampaging Ferocidon transforms into the agile "Velociraptor," Polyraptor embodies the fearsome "Indominus Rex," Wayward Swordtooth takes on the role of the resilient "Triceratops," and Regisaur Alpha becomes the imposing "Spinosaurus." The poster-style artwork, was created by Dan Mumford and Thomas Roach.
The Secretversary Superdrop doesn't stop there.
