Magical Trailer for Robert Zemeckis' Adaptation of Disney's PINOCCHIO

Disney’s original 1940 animated classic Pinocchio is an all-time favorite of mine. It also features some of the most beautifully stunning animation that has ever been created.

Well, director Robert Zemeckis has helmed a live-action CGI hybrid remake of Pinocchio, and like most of the Disney remakes we’ve seen recently, the story is pretty much the exactly same story, but it was recreated with modern-day filmmaking tech. It looks great visually, but it’s really just the same movie wrapped in updated visuals.

The movie is a “retelling of the beloved tale of a wooden puppet who embarks on a thrilling adventure to become a real boy. Tom Hanks stars as Geppetto, the wood carver who builds and treats Pinocchio (Ainsworth) as if he were his own son. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is Jiminy Cricket, who serves as Pinocchio’s guide as well as his "conscience"; Cynthia Erivo is the Blue Fairy; Keegan-Michael Key is "Honest" John; Lorraine Bracco is Sofia the Seagull, a new character, and Luke Evans is The Coachman. Also in the cast are Kyanne Lamaya as Fabiana and Jaquita Ta’Le as her marionette Sabina, Giuseppe Battiston as Stromboli and Lewin Lloyd as Lampwick.

The film is set to premier on Disney+ Day September 8th. Watch the trailer and hit us up on your thoughts!
