Maisie Williams Expresses Her Frustration with NEW MUTANTS Being in Limbo

I’m sad that The New Mutants keeps getting pushed back and is now in production limbo. It looked really interesting, and I was so happy that it followed a different group of mutants. Unfortunately, it kept getting pushed back, and then Disney acquired Fox which put the future of the film in unknown territory.

Some fans, like me, are still hopeful we’ll see the film at some point, but there’s also a good chance that the film will just be abandoned. If it’s disheartening for fans, it’s also disheartening for the actors. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Maisie Williams who is playing Wolfsbane in the film talked about the project:

“Who knows when the f**k that’s gonna come out.

Hopefully[,] this interview will make everyone hurry up a little bit!”

Williams also talked about seeing her co-star Charlie Heaton recently, and he also didn’t know what was going on with the film. Of course, she’s hopeful that her character will meet up with Sophie Turner’s Jean Grey, but I don’t think it’s going to happen now that Disney is going to hit the reset button on mutant-kind once more.

Do you think we’ll ever see New Mutants? It was supposed to be released on August 2, but it is also supposed to undergo reshoots to increase the horror factor.
