Maisie Williams Joins The Animated Series GEN:LOCK and a Third Teaser is Released
I’m getting really excited for the release of Rooster Teeth’s second anime-styled series, gen:LOCK. We know that it will feature the amazing talents of Michael B. Jordan, Dakota Fanning, and David Tennant among many others. Now, we have news that Maisie Williams is joining the cast as well! That’s right, the Game of Thrones star will play Cammie MacCloud who is a Scottish hacker and the youngest recruit to the gen:LOCK program.
“In gen:LOCK, Earth’s last free society is on the losing side of a global war, and recruits a diverse team of young pilots to control the next generation of giant, weaponized robot bodies known as mecha. These daring recruits will find, however, that their newfound abilities come at no small cost. ”

In addition to the casting announcement, a third teaser has dropped for the show. In the teaser, Tennant’s character, Doc, is going over the backgrounds of Cammie and Kazu Iida (played by Koichi Yamadera) trying to get their transfers to his program approved. If you’ve watched RWBY, the interaction may feel familiar as it does remind me of an interaction that may have happened between Ozpin and Glinda.
gen:Lock will launch exclusively on Rooster Teeth’s site in January 2019.
