Man Spends $4,400 on a Bitcoin Mining Rig and Gets THE BOSS BABY Instead
We’ve all had those moments where we receive the wrong item from an online order. It’s usually a small item they shipped by accident or slight difference in color or shape. One man was not so lucky to have such a small error. Ichim Bogdan Cezar got some friends to go in with him to buy a bitcoin mining rig for around $4,400 but was sent a copy of The Boss Baby. Needless to say, Cezar was furious and contacted the seller when this was discovered. The seller said they sent the wrong item and it would be a little longer before the correct item arrived at his door. After waiting the amount of time told, nothing showed up so Cezar contacted Amazon who basically did nothing about it until on January 20, Cezar was given a refund from Amazon.
This is terrible! It took over a month for him to get his money back, and it was not a little amount. I feel terrible for Cezar because A) $4,400 is quite a bit of money to lose B) it wasn’t even all his money and C) the big delay meant they missed out on the huge cryptocurrency boom. He was responsible for getting money back to his friends since their bitcoin mining operation clearly wasn’t going to work out and Amazon wasn’t refunding him. I’m glad he was able to get the refund in the end, but shame on Amazon for taking so long to get this sorted out. I’ve dealt with them before and they were great, but this should’ve been a high priority ticket to get taken care of almost instantly.
