Mangamo Releases Manga App for Android Users to Enjoy
Earlier this year, Mangamo was launched on iOS. This manga reading app allows fans to read over 300 titles for $4.99. Now, Mangamo has finally made an app for Android and it’s available now through Google Play. What’s more is that new users get a free 30-day trial to make sure that it’s a service they like. Buddy Marini, the founder and CEO of Mangamo, said:
Mangamo was created by manga fans, for manga fans. Our purpose is to connect the manga community to manga creators and provide an easy and affordable way to read and discover tons of new manga whenever you want, in the palm of your hand. Being available on Android means bringing manga to even more people all over the world, and we encourage everyone to let us know what they think so we can make Mangamo the best way to read and discover manga.
Before you write this app off as only having random no-name titles, think again. Some of the biggest names of manga are included including Fire Force, Attack On Titan, The Seven Deadly Sins, Fairy Tail, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, In/Spectre, Knights of Sidonia, Ajin: Demi-Human, Japan Sinks 2020, Arte, Dropkick on My Devil!, Somali and the Forest Spirit, Loving Yamada at LV999!, and Reset Game.
Also, if you’re not sure what to read, every month Mangamo highlights some of the titles and November’s Featured Titles are Immortal Undertaker, Department of Demon Resources, Devil-Chi, Attack on Titan: Before the Fall, Laughing Under the Clouds, Laughing in the Fog, and Laughing in Purgatory.
Finally, if you need additional confidence in the service, Sony recently decided to invest in the platform. Gen Tsuchikawa of Sony Innovation Fund said:
Mangamo is ushering in a new frontier in digital manga that makes it as widely available and easily bingeable as anime for fans everywhere. This investment signifies our confidence and excitement in Mangamo’s role in the growing global manga market and the possibilities for this new, influential consumer touchpoint of entertainment IP.
