Margot Robbie Is in Negotiations to Join Comedy FOOLS DAY

Margot Robbie has had a pretty good year, with her wonderful performance in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and her upcoming films Bombshell, hitting theaters this December, Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) in theaters in February, Barbie, expected May of 2020, and The Suicide Squad, rolling into theaters on August 6, 2021. This sounds like a pretty packed schedule, but Robbie is looking to add a bit more to her plate if negotiations work out as planned.

Robbie is currently in talks to join the comedy film Fools Day, where she would play a fourth grade teacher and serve as executive producer. The film is based on a short film of the same name by Cody Blue Snider, who will direct the feature as well.

Variety gives us the following description for the film:

The short, which has been honored at more than 30 film festivals, centers on a fourth grade class that accidentally kills their teacher when they play an innocent April Fool’s Day prank on her. Convinced they’ll go to prison if anyone finds out, they try to hide her body before a police officer arrives for their anti-drug lesson.

This sounds hilarious! Robbie would play the teacher in the story, and it doesn’t sound like she’d stick around long, but I think it would be fun to see her in it. Hopefully it works out! Does this sound funny to you?
