MARIO STRIKERS: BATTLE LEAGUE to Have Free Demo with Set Times for Online Play This Weekend
I am so pumped to hit the pitch next week when Nintendo launches Mario Strikers: Battle League on the Nintendo Switch. To help fans get a taste of what’s to come, Nintendo is hosting the Mario Strikers: Battle League First Kick demo event.
Anyone with a Nintendo Switch Online membership or 7-day trial can download the demo for free now from the eShop so that you can participate in online team battles between June 3-5 as well as a training mode and pre-season “friendlies”.
The one catch is that there are specific times when you’ll be able to hop in and play those online battles. It should also be noted that during the First Kick demo event teams will include members from two consoles (a max of 2 players per console). Here are the times you can play:
June 3, 8-9 p.m. PT
June 4, 4-5 a.m. PT
June 4, 12-1 p.m. PT
June 4, 8-9 p.m. PT
June 5, 4-5 a.m. PT
June 5, 12-1 p.m. PT
Mario Strikers: Battle League will launch on June 10 with pre-orders now live. There will be free post-launch updates including new characters and if handled like Mario Golf: Super Rush, it’s going to be pretty well done.
