Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy Will Be Back as Joker and Batman in New Animated Series
Cartoon Network is developing a new animated series called Justice League Action, and it will reunite Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill as Batman and Joker. The two actors became legendary as these two DC characters when they starred in the classic 1990s Batman: The Animated Series. How freakin’ cool is it that they'll be working together again?!
Justice League Action will consist of 11-minute episodes just like Teen Titans Go! and this is the synopsis for the new show:
"Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman lead the DC Comics Super Heroes against their most infamous foes in adventures packed with relentless thrills, fun and action. No need to wait for the good stuff to start, each eleven-minute episode jumps in with lightning-paced action and heroics. Whether defending the Earth, facing invaders from space, or battling the bizarre forces of magic, the always-rotating team of Justice League heroes, are up to any challenge.”
The series will also star James Woods as Lex Luthor and Diedrich Bader as Booster Gold. As you can see in the poster above, other characters who will be featured in the series include Hawkman, Green Arrow, Zatanna, Shazam, The Flash, Blue Beetle, Plastic Man and more. I know this series won't be as good as Batman: The Animated Series, but hopefully it will at least entertain.
There’s no word on when the series will premiere, but it would make sense to me if they released it around the same time as they release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in March.
