Mark Hamill is the New Face of Jack in The Box, Watch Him Work at the Drive Thru!
Before Mark Hamill was cast in Star Wars and his life changed forever after playing Luke Skywalker, he worked at Jack in the Box. He was 18 years old at the time, and that didn’t last long because the company fired him. He shared the story once, saying:
"I was always trying to find the theatrical aspects of it. I actually worked right down the street here at Jack in the Box and I was in the back all the time, making shakes and minding the grill. I always aspired to work the window, the drive-thru. And the one chance I had at it, it never occurred to me not to be in character as the Jack in the Box clown. He told me to go home and never come back. Yeah, I got fired. Fired for being in character."
Well, now the fast food chain has brought the actor back on board as the new face of Jack in the Box with an intensive new marketing campaign that they’ve launched.
There’s an amusing video that was released earlier this week which features Hamill working at a Jack in the Box drive-thru and having fun with the customers who are ordering food. You can check that out below.
They are also releasing a limited-edition comic book that will tell the story of Hamill's history with the company, which will be released later this month. You can expect to see him in new commercials as well.
Mark Hamill will next appear in Mike Flanagan’s Netflix horror series The Fall of the House of Usher.
