Mark Hamill Pokes Fun at Luke Skywalker's Absence in STAR WARS: EPISODE IX

Mark Hamill recently shared a post on Twitter mocking Luke Skywalker's absence in Star Wars: Episode IX. Judging by this tweet that says, "J.J. Abrams casts Empty Robe in latest installment of much anticipated space-saga", the director hasn't asked Hamill to reprise his role at Luke.

A lot of fans assumed that Luke would show up as a Force Ghost in the final chapter of the trilogy, but maybe that's not going to happen. Or maybe Hamill is just trolling fans to make us think one thing when something completely different is being planned.

If Luke Skywalker doesn't return, I'd be fine with it. He got an epic showdown in The Last Jedi and had nice little send-off. There have been rumors of Obi-Wan Kenobi showing up as a Force Ghost, though, so if that happens, that would be pretty rad.

One thing we now know for sure is that Billy Dee Williams is reprising his role as Lando in the film, and that's good enough for me!
