Mark Hamill Shares His Thoughts on Jared Leto's Version of The Joker

Mark Hamill's Joker is hands down my favorite version of the character. He just brings the character to life in a way that no other person can, and he does it all with the power of his voice. I've actually been curious to know what Hamill's thoughts might be on Jared Leto's version of the character in Suicide Squad. Now we know!

While talking to Polygon about his new series Pop Culture Quest, Hamill was asked what he thought of Leto's Joker and this was his reply:

"Everyone brings a different spin to the character ... I don’t think there’s a definitive version of the Joker and I don’t think there can be. It’s like Hamlet, really. It’ll be constantly redefined."

He makes a great point there, but for me, I'd have to say that Hamill is the definitive Joker. Now, if you think he was beating around the bush and avoiding saying what he really thinks, Polygon notes that Hamill said "he loved" Leto's performance and that he "hasn’t seen an interpretation yet that’s made him go, 'That was terrible.'"

I know a lot of fans will disagree with Hamill, and that's ok. He's just obviously very gracious when talking about other actors that take on the role of the Joker.  What do you think about the comments he made here?
