Mark Hamill Shares Side by Side Then and Now Pictures of R2-D2 and Himself and Notices a Strange Difference
It’s always a good day when we get a tweet from Mark Hamill! This week, he shared a couple of photos of himself on set beside his trusty droid friend, R2-D2.
The first photo is from the first Star Wars film, A New Hope, and the second is from the last film we saw, The Last Jedi. But Hamill sees a difference in the time lapse that he is having a hard time reconciling. Check it out below:
I think we have a little case of forced perspective here. It seems to me that in the second photo Hamill is up on a bit of an incline, and R2 is a bit reclined. But the idea that Mark Hamill hit a growth spurt later in life or R2 has shrunk is way more fun, so let’s go with that!
