Mark Millar's SUPERIOR Comic Book Picked Up by FOX

Since comic book writer Mark Millar is a consultant over at FOX it's no surprise that the studio has picked up the rights to his limited series comic book, Superior. It should also come as no surprise that Kick-Ass and X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn is producing the project. The two talents obviously enjoy working together. The are currently developing an adaptation of their comic, Secret Service

As far as the story for Superior goes, it "centers on a popular and athletic 12-year-old boy who loses his social life when he is stricken by multiple sclerosis. One night, an alien monkey grants the boy one wish and he chooses to become his favorite superhero, a Superman-like character named Superior. After relishing his new life as a hero, the boy discovers that the monkey is actually a demon from Hell and he must sell his soul if he is to remain the powerful hero -- or return to his original body."

The comic was published by Icon Comics between 2010 and 2012. I've never read it myself, but it sounds like it has the potential to be a great flick! The studio is currently out on the hunt for a writer to adapt it.
