Mark-Paul Gosselaar Joins Podcast Series Where He Reacts to Watching SAVED BY THE BELL For The First Time
Have you ever met anyone in their 30s or 40s that has never seen a single episode of Saved By The Bell? It has to be a pretty rare thing, as the show was incredibly popular in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s, and has held up its fanbase pretty well over the years. But there’s one person who hasn’t ever watched the series that would blow the minds of the Saved By the Bell fans out there, and that’s the show’s star, Mark-Paul Gosselaar!
Zack Morris himself has never watched the series, but is looking to change that in a fun and unique way. Teaming up with the creator of the web series Zack Morris is Trash, Dashiell Driscoll, Gosselaar will be watching the series for the first time and reacting to the episodes in a podcast called Zack to the Future.
Here’s what Gosselaar had to say about the podcast in a statement:
“For years I have been asked by the dedicated fans of Saved by the Bell to revisit the show. I couldn’t wrap my head around an idea that would keep the audience entertained and celebrate the beloved series we created over 30 years ago, mostly because I can't remember a thing about making it, and I am thrilled to say I have found the answer. As my co-host, Dashiell Driscoll will be my key to unlocking every door at Bayside, a key he assures me Zack Morris would've had. I haven’t watched a single episode in its entirety since I walked off the sets in 1993. It’s time to wheel that big television into class. Go Bayside!”
The first season of Zack to the Future will be premiering on July 29th, and will breakdown each episode of the show's first season. I am a die hard Saved By the Bell fan, and I am so excited about this podcast! I will have to rewatch the series with them, even though I know every episode already.
